Raymond B. Winter State Park
695 acres in Bald Eagle State Forest; Halfway Lake, sandstone dam, hiking, swimming, camping. Classic full-day outdoor escape west of Mifflinburg.
Susky Says
Civilian Conservation Corps crews built the stone Halfway Lake Dam here in 1933, and the park was later renamed for forester Raymond B. Winter. The dam is on the National Register. Pack a picnic, take a swim, and thank the CCC boys.
